What's the meaning of sidebay?? Right now I would say low-mid $xx...max. All tlds are still available. If you have meaning to the name then I think you can ask for more.

Ask the city to transfer all the rights to eBay

Nothing wrong with that name as far as TM is concerned, as outlined above Side Bay has too many references to other instances/places. If eBay picked up on that it would be a pathetic try on their behalf - unless of course it was an auction site.
I would say $50-$75 or $250 for someone wanting to start a sales site selling laptop accessories or maybe a resident of Side Bay in Northern Vancouver Island, Canada

I agree, but if perfumebay.com gets hijacked by ebay (which it did)...than anything is possible IMO.
I do like this name a lot...has end user potential....I think reseller is in low to mid xxx though.
Perfumebay is a bad comparison IMO as the person who owned it dug their own grave in that case by making ridiculous claims as to the meaning and purpose of the name when they registered it. IN other words...Ebay proved they registered it with their name in mind and the owner was unable to convince the panel/courts otherwise.
Lesson for everyone. If you have a domain that contains the word ebay in any shape or form, get your story straight and develop your site to back it up.
In this case, if the developer is buying with the intention of selling laptop components on the back of the "Side Bay" idea, make that part of your branding and use it on the site. Even if you then decided to risk putting up something like a BANS site with ebay listings for such components you can at least defend your position.
Also, if your names Sid and you are a Seller on Ebay....don't even think about it....lol.
