HI,
I am unsure as to how much the domain name affects SEO.
I imagine keywods in domain name are good.
How much do they affect on SEO?

Am I better to use a short easy to remember name, or a longer more kw rich domain name?

Thanks
Smokey

Smokey,

I would suggest a combination of both.
Keywords in yoru domain name can be great help with SEO, but a name such as www.pokercasinocardsslotsgamesfreecash.com, for example is way too much.

Have a look at what names are available that feature the keywords you are looking for, and then narrow the list down till you find one that you think is best.

Good luck

Thanks Alexd

Thats basicly what I am doing, but trying to refine a little more.
Trying to decide on length Vs easy to remeber.

Better with 5 letter .com that describes business and location
or
15 letter.com that has better kw & location?

I understand what your saying, I'm just second guessing, with too many choices, and trying to look for perfection.

Thanks again
Smokey

the domain's keyword terms help some, but if you're branding a name it doesn't matter what domain you choose. ( unless its hard to remember or prone to typos)

the content and keywords in your meta tags is the key, but it helps to market your business if a keyword is part of the domain.

check out the "expired domains section" on this forum.
a lot of good names are often posted there!
