A domain name is exactly the same as a singer's entertainment name, it is one word domain and is currently for sale, however the word can also become a two word generic domain and totally unrelated to the singer's name, here's an example:

Let's say for EXAMPLE: The singer's name is "Pinkera", and my website will be about the Pink Era, would I be infringing on the singer if I register pinkera.com and build a website about the Pink Era?

Thanks,

Feel free to read about the MikeRoweSoft case.

To ask any legal questions without supplying all of the information is honestly fruitless. Anways ;)... so your saying it's a one word domain that can be broken down into 2 generic words...and it's a .com? Depending on what your definition of a generic word is (because everyone seems to have a different opinion), AND it's a celebrity so it has searches, and presumably CPC (all conveniently bundled into the artist's merchandise, likely protected)... the cost likely outweighs the profit. Celebrities spend the time + money to brand themselves, it's best to just stay away from it.
