I would like some feedback on what a site with the following criteria is worth:

- In alexa's top 100,000 sites and top 25,000 U.S. sites
- Compete.com top 100,000 sites
- Page rank 4
- Approx 40,000 unique monthly visitors.
- Established site with lot's of unique content.

Thank you for your fedback.

With only that information, low 5 figures.
You could add more for the raw domain name quality if it has any.
You could add more based on a multiple of monthly/yearly revenue.
You could deduct for paid traffic or other advertising expenses.
You could deduct for huge bandwidth requirements or site upkeep needs.

etc
etc.

Really impossible to nail it down further without more relevant info.

$0 advertising

site is run on a word press blog.

domain does not add any quality other than it happens to be the domain that the person used to start the site years ago.

revenue, or revenue potential is the key. Source of traffic and niche could help you with some raw estimates. An e-commerce site with that much traffic is better than a pure info site with the same numbers.

With no information, guess 10K. If you want to pm me the name I can get more specific. You aren't going to get a better guess without more information about the niche and revenue potential.

I've had "crap" domains with hyphens and all, and successfully sell thousands of dollars worth of products from them.

So if I were to sell them for "twenty months rev" that would be like tens of thousands of dollars for a site with not even XXX visitors a month. A domainer would scoff at that domain. But neither can you judge based on traffic alone. Some sites with tons of traffic make almost nothing.

It depends on how "trusted" your site is, how "long term" it is. Even though I think Bankaholic was seriously overrated...sold for $15 million.
