http://SiteSubmitService.com is a free website submission service. I bought the site about 2 years ago and I am now looking to liquidate it because of interests in other areas. I use Trellian SubmitWolf to submit the sites. This is a $500 package that I got with the site two years ago. I have asked them if it is trasferrable and they say that it is not, but that a new owner could use the serial number to do an upgrade. Or, a buyer could just convert it to some automated submission engine and simply the administration. You would just need to rewrite the text as to match what you are really doing. In exchange for a free submission, the sites agree to keep a text link to SiteSubmitService on their site at the url submitted. I check to see if it is there, and then do the submission. If it isn't, I don't.

Google Pagerank - PR5
Marketleap Reported Backlinks - 7,318
Traffic - about 450 uniques a month
Promotion - None
Hosting Cost - Minimal - Can provide hosting for 3 months, then $4.95/month
Current Income - Minimal, not worth mentioning

This would be a good established was to kick off a site submission business. I haven't done much with it, and with a new design, a little content, and an optional paid submission option this could become a real money maker.

What you are really buying here is the domain name, the backlinks to it, and the base traffic.

I would like to see what offers I get. I don't have a target price in mind, and I reserve the right to not sell it (although I would like to get this to someone that will do something with it).

Forgot to post that we got 76 sites for submission in Decemember and already have 23 submitted for January.... so there is definitely some flow of activity here that could be leveraged. Again, I do no promotion or advertising. Each site ads a text link and in several years that has built up to be a lot of links.

Forgot to mention that there were 76 sites submitted for submission in December and there have already been 24 this month... so there is definitely some activity going on. We do no promotion or advertising so this is all coming from the link backs that each submitted site have placed on their site.

CURRENT BID $400

I am looking for offers... no price in mind. I will probably sell it to the highest bid. How about $300 as a starting point? If that doesn't work, make me an offer.

By the way, I didn't mention that it got 76 sites submitted in December and already has 25 submitted this month.

Also, the domains sitesubmitservice.com and site-submit-service.com come with the site, and are currently on Enom so easy to push. I believe they are paid through 5/06.

The site has a very simple php script that is used for submission. They fill out the form, and it sends an email to a predefined address with their submission info. Makes it easy to process them when you want to do it. There is no database... all flat files so easy to work with. You could easily modify the script to use an automatic submission script and then offer an alternative fee based submission. That was my plan, but 2 years has gone by and I never did it... other priorities.... which is why I'm looking to sell it.

I asked them that but haven't received an answer yet. Hopefully I'll get that today.

Revenue has been next to nothing on Google, and I've not tried to do anything else. I really haven't done anything to try and promote it in that way. If you added some content on SEO or such, then the backlinks are there to help it start to generate some income. As it is, there isn't a lot of content on the site to help Google generate good ads.

The submissions take abou 5 minutes a piece using SubmitWolf, and I'm sure this could even be automated more. I believe the best approach would be to possible scrap SW, or use it for paid submissions.. and instead wire in a script that automates the free submissions automatically. That was my long term goal, but I am spread too thin and need to consolidate my efforts.

I finally got a reply from SubmitWolf and they are saying that its $425 to do the upgrade, so no big savings there over the normal $500 price. I would assume that anyone buying the site would use some other method to do the submissions.

OK, I did a little complaining and the upgrade price is now $295... so that saves $200 from the full toolkit price. This is a very robust toolkit and comes with updates of the search engines. Checkout the package at http://www.trellian.com/swolf/indexe.htm . It is the full SubmitWolf Enterprise (not the individual version) and the integrated SEO Toolkit. Again, this is a very comprehensive suite of applications.

High bid is now $300 by PM.

Current high bid is still $350, but I have a dialog by PM on someone that is thinking of going higher. Let me know if you are interested, as I will probably stop this pretty soon.

Current high bid is $400. I am going to close this out at 10PM EST (GMT -5) and let it go to the highest bidder. Please keep the bids here rather than PM so if anyone slips a bid in at the last minute it will give others an opportunity to rebid.
