Anybody notice this problem at snapnames?. You can't search for domains less than 3 characters.

I think if they expire, the 2 character domains are not dropping, but going to DN heaven. So it's a moot point.

I thought it only applied to .org's. DoH!

Not positive. Anyone know for sure?

You can`t search for 2 letter .com .net and .org-s !
Why so? Will all 2 letter names reserved after they drop?

PIR has ceased deleting expired 2 letter .orgs, and VeriSign will do the same very soon (if they haven't already) with .com and .net names. We therefore aren't selling SnapBacks on two character domains anymore -- sorry that that also means they can't be searched on our site.

Darn, that sucks.

How about 2 digit domains like ..

letter/number a0.com a0.net

What will treir status be!

So whats this mean to people who already have snaps on 2 character domains?. Will they ever drop?, is it a good idea to keep the snap?.

RMF

We've heard from both registries that two character names are no longer going to be released, so you probably want to exchange any SnapBacks you have on names that fit that description.

Just to be on the safe side though, you might want to wait until you see the new policy in action. We all know that expired .orgs are not supposed to be dropping right now, either . . . :)
