For Sale SnapNames Auctions on Sunday June 12

All SnapNames auctions due to end tomorrow (June 12) will be extended 24 hours and close on Monday instead. Going forward, SnapNames auctions will have a duration on four days instead of the current three. This is to ensure that all interested bidders are able to participate, even when long holiday weekends are involved.

Please note that the timeline hasn't changed for placing orders. If you want a domain name that deletes tomorrow, or one which will enter the SnapNames auction system without deleting -- you still need to get your order in early enough (before 10:00 am Pacific) for SnapNames to have enough time to act on it.

Why wasn't that included in the email ? It only said that the current (today's) ending auctions will be prolonged by 24 hours. What's stopping Snapnames from going "forward" to 10 day auctions? If I am contesting a domain, I want it to end sooner - not later.

Radistar, you are right -- there was nothing in the email about it because the extension only applies to today's auctions. It turns out that except for those SnapNames auctions scheduled for today that are instead closing tomorrow, our auctions are still three days long. I was bit out of the loop on this one and misunderstood why we needed to extend auctions today, and ended up giving out the wrong explanation.

PM or email me if I can clarify anything for anyone, though at the rate I'm going you may be better off calling/emailing our support department . . .
