Hi.

I have a snapback put on an domain registred by bulkregister.com
The domain expires on 2003-02-21, and bulkregister has just put this domain on hold. When can I expect bukregister to delete this domain?

Thanks.

02-21?
It should be in Redemption period now or soon - 45 days.
Wait till PendingDelete - than 6 days.

Just be sure that your snap has at least 3 months of life in it :)

Forgive me for what may be a stupid question...what do you mean by snapback has 3 months of life in it? I've seen similar statements before and I'm not sure how that applies..I thought snapbacks were goo til they got something....

Snaps are baught in year periods. When you buy a snap it is normaly for a year and you can transfer it to another domain if the one you snaped gets picked up or renewed.

The max is 10 years - as is the case of sex.com as 2003 baught to my attention :)

Snaps are by the year, 12 months - and they do expire after the year is up.

ooo..ok

so for instance I couldn't have xxxx.com for over a year...but if I exchange it for another name the snap expiration resets to the year?

No, if you put a SnapBack on xxxx.com in February of 2001, and xxxx.com does NOT expire before February 2002, your snap is DONE, or you may renew it for a discounted price. If however you notice that the domain name xxxx.com has been *renewed* by the current registrant... let's say its November 2001... you may MOVE the SnapBack to another name. The SnapBack will STILL expire in February of 2002, but you have a few months to catch a drop before you renew your SnapBack, or let it expire in Feb. If at ANYtime, your SnapBack performs its function, and catches a name for you... it automatically expires, and that's that.

I also got this today from Snapname "The domain name has been removed from the root name servers. "

How long time is left now?

Thanks.

removed from root server means it's no longer up as a site (if it ever was) and no email etc. In the old days it was about a month - now watch for PendingDelete.
