Snapnames is down

Snapnames just went down during some auctions I was on, what happens to those auctions? they dont end with the last bidder do they?

It seemed to fail 2 minutes before the end of the gopa.com auction at over 6k. I seem to remember the last bidder gets it.

What a load of crap. Its pretty unfair if the last bidder gets it. All you would have to do is ddos the site and no other bids would be allowed. I was right in the middle of an auction myself and am pretty pissed.

That would be powercenter(.)com, I was in on that one too and agree with you that its unfair.

^ the close for gopa.com has been extended by around 24 hrs. Isn't that is the same for powercenter.com ?

Sounds like just another reason NOT to wait till the last minute to bid. Bid early, with the MOST you'd be willing to pay for the name. Then, don't worry about it.

This happened to me before. It looked Ok but the system wouldn't accept any bids. They ran it for another 24 hours but funny enough the original high bidder wasn't in the re-run ... don't know what happened to him/her but Im guessing they were pretty pissed
