Has anyone caught anything with SnapNames recently?

It has been weeks for me!

They have missed on all of the names I had snaps on, in that time frame.

Last one was Aug. 18th. Have been exchanging like crazy (thank God I'm not limited to three at SnapNames!)

And another thing: Today I had the snap, Godaddy, high bid at NW, and was listed at Pool and still didn't get the name! (It just felt right to rail here against my unfortunate lack of success today as I find this forum to be the perfect venue!)

I just went back and looked. My last one was 8-25.

I use to average at least 4 per week. But, I guess my purchases have
moved over to Pool.

4 Days ago was my latest in a long time... They have been pretty bad the last month or two.

RMF

Got a couple in the last couple weeks but they were sub-par names... had 2 for this mornings drop on:

moneyinfo.com
internetcafes.net

Guess what happened? It's not hard to figure out

Basically this is the way snap seems to work, atleast from what I see..

Snap will get you sub-par names
Snap will NOT get you anything that has even the slightest competition
I DO see good names gotten by snap; but apparently they only seem to be names that BD, ULT & other big players got with snap. Pretty convienient that!

I got VendingMachine.net through them a few days ago, and that is it...everything else that I have had snaps on got beat.

I'm also glad I have unlimited snaps... :ok:

No wonder you forgot them

The last I got was on Aug 27,2003.

Absolutely uncanny!! Just got one at SnapNames and one at Snaps!! Hey, Richard, let's start a "bitchin'" thread like this EVERYDAY! My turn tomorrow! LOL

I've caught every one I've tried for lately but they were not top drops by far.

Jolt, don't buy snaps. Go out right now and buy a lottery ticket.

You are using up all of your luck on snaps.

I got YardSales.NET, Artistry.NET, and USsurplus.COM in August. Nothing for a long time before that and nothing since! Two go off tomorrow. We'll see.

How the hell does BD's small "stable" of registrars pull it off? Starting to think it's more than pure luck or their script(s)!?!

Got ThePros.NET using up a SNAP that was expiring today. Probably a $30-40 NW name. Not bad but nothing too special either. Two more NETs this week; we'll see. I suspect that you're wasting your time with great one and two word .COMs but maybe it works sometimes. They got IdeaMart.COM, a pretty decent name back in June but that was pre-Pool. I've got to wonder if they are REALLY trying that hard now or just running things AS-IS (despite their PR here) till they largely sell out to WLS. The joke may be on them if something burps with regard to WLS though OR, maybe, Verisign and SnapNames will just do their own thing with or without ICANN on Oct. 27! I doubt that but we do know that they do have the itch for all of those $24 and $39 fees that they'd be getting. It sucks on all counts, of course, in any event.

They had been doing nothing for me for about two months until they got me websitetalk.com yesterday. I am definitely satisfied with that one.

The best thing is that it was my first snap to beat Pool since Pool started dominating. I know it beat Pool because I had the name back-ordered at Pool too:).
