Just a heads up that they raised the renewal price to 12.00. Did anyone get a notice about that? One day it's 7.95, now 12.00? That's unprofessional. They've done it before and retracted it. Who can take them seriously. To consider themselves a premium registrar is laughable.

Bad business practice.

Punishing your current customers for the sake of the bottom line is stupid. There will be a mass exodus of names out of stargate to other registrars. I know my names there are moving.

Wasn`t renewal price always $12.00?

Perhaps they have to make up the net loss of those 10,044 registrations (CNOBINU) in the last quarter:

Q4 2002 - 193,931
Q1 2003 - 183,887

Some selected registrars as of Q1 2003:
Tucows/OpenSRS - 3,174,393
GoDaddy - 2,108,982
eNom - 1,811,399
