So sad...Dennis Hopper has died...

Just got home from running errands and logged on the computer to see that Dennis Hopper has died.

For me, he is unquestionably one of my most favorite actors. From his early roles with James Dean in Rebel Without a Cause and Easy Rider to Blue Velvet and True Romance, he honestly seemed to make acting so effortless.

I recall reading a piece several years ago that in some of his roles, they would just throw the script away and let him ad lib (I believe this was the case as the photojournalist in Apocalypse Now).

I really liked his work.

one of those actors where you knew the film would be great if he was starring, and if it wasn't, he would still be great
