I am looking for recommendations for web building programs.

Would you suggest Front Page 2000 or 2002.

Or do you prefer DreamWeaver version 2.0 or 3.0 ?

Or do you use some other program ?

Remember, I have limited html/web building knowledge, so I need a user friendly program.

FP is good, but not for a beginner.
I would recomend dream weaver or coffee cup.

Frontpage is one of the most clumsy, incompatible program I have ever used. Compatibility with netscape is poor and frontpage seems to ruin code with its own extras.

On the other hand dreamweaver is truly a "dream" to use, I use version 3 which is little old now but either 3.0 or 4.0 would be fine I would think.

I found FP was easy to use as we are all used to the MS style menus. However as previously stated, it does tend to sabbotage the actual HTML code so I now prefer to use dreamweaver.

Best thing to do is check out some demos of the programs and see which ones you feel more comfortable with.

On the other hand there are plenty of people who will desgin a site for you. :)

I prefer HotDog Pro, and learnt raw HTML by using it and watching what was happening.

Can you just jump into dreamweaver? or do you have to learn how to use it? With FP, i just walked into it and done the page....drag and drop basically.
