Please let me know some appraisals on this domain. I'm not interested in selling it (for now) since I've been hanging on to it since before 1997.

Please keep in mind that there were HUGE websites based on the *domain.com names such as:

gamesdomain.com
hardwaredomain.com
kidsdomain.com
consoledomain.com

These were all part of the huge "TheGlobe" publisher before, but only gamesdomain.com is still huge.

Anyway please let me know here.

$2.52

I think the domain sucks.
Sorry

Sorry

Is that being generous? :cheeky:

No need to be sorry, I'm looking for everyone's feedback as I'd like to get an idea of the market value today. Thanks

yea i am being generous, seriosuly, I think this name would go for under $5 on auction.

Okay, well I don't think so. I think you are wrong.

Let's leave it at that.

Besides, I think it is definitely worth more than "$2.52", so please don't insult me.

Please tell me your kidding me.

You think he asked for an appraisal, I gave mine and he dint like it, so you report it?!?!?!

Seems ludacris.

I seriously think the domain has now value.

The words dont folw (imo) and I dont see a direct market nor do i see it as memorable.

Do you market it to Software buyer or Domainers?

Or do you sell Domain Software?

Sorry,

I realized something now "DevilDude". No offense or anything, but I take your appraisals as seriously as nothing actually. You're only 15. You still have a lot of life to live. Were you even around in 1996 when I registered the domain? Probably not.

Actually I signed up on these boards thinking this would be a mature community. Please don't prove me wrong.

I've been a long time reader of these boards, and you're the only one who posts insulting comments (to others too, just do a quick search on your posts) Sarcasm isn't needed, if you don't think the domain is worth anything then just post that. Not "$2.52".

Please don't post anymore in my thread DevilDude. If you would like to talk, please e-mail or PM me. Or let me know your phone # through PM can we can settle it there.

Kind regards,
Nich

I have got to agree with N1CH.

You can post your comment but lets all be wise.

cheers,
aguss

Unfortunately not the only one( we all know who they are, but perhaps they don't, isn't that sad!), there are very few "appraisers" who have much idea of what they are talking about so please don't be offended by the few who have little or no savvy.

That said, there are some incredibly switched on guys here but you probably won't find then in the appraisal threads, obviously they don't need to prove their capabilities. Just search a little and even the best can learn.

I love it and I am a relative newbie!

Ahhhhh. Apraisals Threads,

I've posted many a thread, only to have to repost to get an answer.

However, I myself welcome even the $0- ones, and would be even happier with the devildude8989 $2.52 :) for some of my crap names.

On the name in ?question, I could at least tell you this, if i searched for software in say Google and saw a link to that domain, it sounds professional enough me me to click on it.

$$ wise, I couldnt hazard a guess :(

Not to be too off-topic, but this is a VERY GOOD point indeed. Many amateur SEO "specialists" don't even understand this. Being #3 in Google doesn't necessarily means that you will get less traffic than the website at #2: since people CHOOSE to click, and your URL (domain name mostly) and site title help A LOT in this.

Back to appraising this particular name: the word "domain" does not just mean "domain name" (please consult your dictionary), so softwaredomain.com is a VERY good name for software-related projects.

By the way, I WILL BE taking care of some of the comments in this thread. Give me some time.

Thanks for all the help everyone. I've been a long time member of WebHostingTalk, and to be frank, the boards there are almost intolerable now. It used to be an adults/professional board discussing webhosting, but with the minors and kids running around (who usually think they "know everything and have all the experience in the world") ruining it. I am an adult, so I guess I atleast expect some courtesy or professionalism.

Appreciate everyone's comments though.
