I've seen some straange phrases on overture that are searched almost 100,000 times! For example:

education experience java job job job list objective opening posting resume skill

That exact phrase has 85,345 searches! It looks like something that maybe ONE person might accidentally type in, but 85 THOUSAND people?! That's more than most one word, construable phrases. Naturally, I don't know much about how overture works. Could anyone explain this to an ignorant person such as myself? Thanks :)

I've seen this trend. I think it has something to do woth some sort of software that enters the search terms. Like, you click a hyperlink on a website, and it enters that term, because it's such an unusual term, one company will come up (their company)... and the person goes to that site, thinking he did a search.

Also when companies are employed by others to test specific terms or keywords that that company should employ in order to gain the best search engine positions and , sometimes for other general marketing reasons, software is used on those specific words to check combinations sometimes thousands of times. This will, of course, result sometimes in huge anomalies.
I bought a domain one month that had 95,000 results in oveture, the next month it got 850.
