Yes, a whole bunch of business people are working on commercial space planes.

Jeff Bezos of Amazon.com fame is the latest, according to this story:

If a spaceplane ride costs $50,000 or $100,000, I should do well if they pay a 5% CJ.com affiliate fee.

I'm thinking making it into a forum, with discussion of the different companies trying to build those spaceplanes. Bezos' company is but one of many. Another is Bristol Spaceplanes, see:
