SpaceWind.com - some futuristic game, gaming service, magazine, etc. What do you think?

First impression is nice domain name, 2 simple familiar words. But my next thought is immediately 'Space Wind?' what the heck does that mean?

Pros:
Overture search Terms:
175,436 space
20,960 wind
Marketleap.com Score:
www.spacewind.com 12 (low but hey it's got some links)
Looks like the site used to be a Techo related site which is a good market

Cons:
What The Heck is Space Wind?

Like many domains, I think by itself the name is worth around what you paid to register it. However if you can capitalize on the fact it used to be a Techno (music) site, and perhaps build back up some strong techno-phile crowd you might have something (but it's a streatch).

IF you could do this, and it's a big IF and pull some revenue in (say from EMusic.com affiliate program) I think you could sell it for $100-$200.

But if it were me. I'd dress it up (see some of the offers on the forum for inexpensive logo work) and sell it off on ebay, packaged as the 'start of a techno site'.

Great appraisal! Thanks.

SpaceWind does not mean s@#t, but... what is mysimon, fandango, hotbot, napster, etc? You are absolutely right. its a catchy domain and with some content it can make some cash!

I think John Candy had space wind in that mel brooks' classic "space balls"

Solid appraisal, m8

SpaceWind.com- sorry, there is no wind (or air) in space.

That's why Alien (the movie) promo's said: in space no one can hear you scream.

Does not have to be anything... like i was saying before.

yeah... alsmost right. Space wind = Solar Wind.

What those all had was a lot of $$$ to build a brand (or in Napster's case, a brilliant product that caught fire)

99.99999999% of all domains lack one of those two fundamentals.

Worth a Reg...

I am sure I saw that flag flapping in the "SpaceWind" when the boys planted it on the moon. LOL!
