Speaking Their Language

If I tell you one thing, most of the online Indian population does not even know its own language
Any middle class, english public school educated Indian (thats about 100 million people to you...almost the entire online population) does not even know the proper script of his/her language. The education system is such that people stop reading their own language after 10th grade (but keep on reading english even through college).
If you look at an Indian newspaper in hindi, you'll be surprised to find that these papers use english words (written in the hindi script of course - its still a hindi newspaper). They'll write airport (in the hindi script) rather than 'hawai adda' (the correct hindi term for airport).

Indians usually end up writing all their hindi words in the english script. Heck, I've lived in India for 19 years, had all my education there, and I couldn't recite the entire hindi alphabet after the 5th grade...there just isn't any use for it.
