...this name has more value just because of the name itself
Intrinsic value is subjective and therefore not a great gauge of general market value.
I have names I absolutely love to death, but they still aren't anything beyond my attachment - even short 5 letter prounouncable names.

Splatter paint is a common term that is used throughout the world ... Paintsplatter to me seems reverse of what would be typically spoken when the two words are used together.
"Paint Splatter" = ~59,000 Google Returns; ...and gets multiple Overture Scores on various keyword combos of this. (greater demand)
"Splatter Paint" = ~ 36,000; no Overture (lesser demand)
'The World' (albeit limited to the above indicators) has spoken.
'Splatter Paint' is what you would do to get 'Paint Splatter'.

names that are easy to remember and have meaning behind them are names with value as well.
Sure, with marketing money to launch them, but in my opinion, this name is not as inuitive as you may think - does it get traffic? Was it previously taken and you got it off drop, or did you hand reg it? If it gets no/little traffic and was available to hand reg, then that in itself speaks to the Demand in the market to want that name - as you may know, the name PaintSplatter.com has been registered since 1999!
Economics play on Supply vs. Demand. No demand, no value. Little demand, little value. As an example, I think people, in general, pay more money for a name so they do not have to spend so much on marketing, not to spend alot on a name they still have to go spend alot of marketing dollars on. Alot of your traffic would be lost to the opposite name, ideally making it best if you owned both variations - then you have value!

Appraisals in themselves are subjective and in many cases do not do justice to the selling price one may receive for a name, as NOTHING surpises me anymore with this business. So, if you can get $XX,XXX - go for it!
