I think this partly explains why we have seen such huge interest and sales for .mobi - the fact that mobile internet use will eventually pass pc internet use, and MSN, yahoo and google are already in the race to get their slice of mobile search. Part of it is that mobile text ads can be clicked on, or be linked to a call button so that the user can make a direct call through the ad to the advertiser (this is the big 'aha', that the advertiser can reach the customer while they are on their mobile phone, and get an instant call from the customer and engage them right away)- and pay per call will surely have a higher payout than pay per click, IMO

great! It looks like Verizon's also will come to the table sooner or later. The "Walled garden" will be tumbling soon.
