i don't see why people have such a problem with .org. i know an awful lot of buyers who prefer .org to .net.
My bank uses a .org as well as many other businesses, including talent agencies and promoters.

But for this particular name I think .org is not very good.

Being a fan of media/entertainment names I of course like starmaker.org. I agree with you about .org kid. I just made an excellent sale of a .org to a large medical group. .org is very popular in the medical field and also widely used in the media, like AP.org (the Associated Press site). I have sold more $ worth of .org domains in the past year than .net, so my mindset is also changing from favoring .net (as second to .com) to favoring carefully selected .orgs (they need to match the fields that like to use them of course). I would have taken starmaker. org. Good luck with it.

.ORG ain't such a bad thing if used in the right context, and can even help differentiate your site from the crowded .com namespace. It's definitely grown in familiarity in the past years kid, so maybe you have a point.

On the .org, agree with Reign that the plural would be better (especially since it would be an organization). Lots of big egos in the talent business though, so there's a good chance you could find a buyer for the singular. The top guy in those organizations usually think they are the only ones that are important (note how many of them use the leader's personal name in the company name).
