It's time again for DN Journal's annual Cover Story round up of domain industry experts to get their forecasts for the New Year as well as their thoughts on the key trends that impacted the domain business in 2007. We've brought back some of your favorites from past State of the Industry reports and also reached out to some new contributors to keep things fresh. In this article, you will hear from leading company CEOs, major domain portfolio owners, conference organizers and representatives from the legal, finance and domain development sectors.

The industry is coming off it's fourth consecutive year of robust growth. Can the domain engine keep barreling down the track even though there are problems in the general economy? Many think the answer is yes, but one major player says the industry's very success is attracting vultures who want to dine on your assets. You'll find it all here:

A great read.

All the good, the bad, and the ugliness of this endeavor.

The last interviewee, Rick Schwartz, is very concerned that corporations will find ways to take domains without paying for them.

What do you guys think of Rick's comments and what can be done about the issue?
