From time to time, I see a popup appearing in front of me with no apparent reason and without surfing !
Few days ago I noticed its address: http://205.134.182.163/1/rotate.html - what's this ?
Is this company stoling personal informations from our Pc ?
Any feedback would be highly appreciated.
We'll soon format our hard disk for safety reasons ...

It's the new game with web sites. Mess around with peoples computers, trawl them for information and use them for DDOS attacks.

The best thing for you to do is to disable active-x.

Try a registry search and an explorer find for the character string you noticed. They may have converted the ip address though.

Sounds like ip address popup advertising. I would just install zonealarm or something similar and it will go away.

Might want to run adaware also.

Just more intrusive stuff you have to deal with and make it go away.

Thanks Larry, never used zonealarm but I'll try it since now ...
Thanks -RJ- but we've still Windows 98 (we love old stuff), not XP :(
