Is it illegal to make a streamed video site using the content of yahoo launch?

There are several high traffic sites doing this and are running .asx files to pull the data through on Yahoo. In short, these sites say they DO NOT host the videos/content, so it's ok.

Any thoughts on this? Thanks!

I would say it's a bit grey and since you don't host the files I would go for it. Legally I am not sure of the consequences.

I would HIGHLY suggest you get authorization from Yahoo in writing first, as Yahoo has big pockets and attorneys just sitting and waiting to take someone to court.
