Hi,

Here is a list of the domain name investor forums I know:
#1 domain forum today is Namepros.com (though there are lots of rules)
DNForum.com, of course, follows > I believe we are older than Namepros (could be wrong)

Great regional domain name investor forums:
UK: https://www.acorndomains.co.uk/
Canada: https://dn.ca/ run by @MapleDots
Australia: https://dntrade.com.au/ .. do we have a team here?
India: https://www.inforum.in/
Netherlands: http://www.domeinforum.nl/ > note: it works only on HTTP, otherwise a great place

The videos about domain investing:
Domain Sherpa: https://www.domainsherpa.com/
And I do livestreams with domainers at https://www.youtube.com/@HostMaria/streams

If you create video content for domainers, you can upload them for free at DN Mum (mums knows the best!): https://dnmum.com/

Podcast: Domain Name Wire: https://domainnamewire.com/category/podcasts/

--

I am sure more guys and ladies will happily share their favorite links.

Best!

I would not recommend NP's considering that they delete any topics or replies which recommend other forums, even this topic may have had such purpose, give more power to NP's, i no longer post anything there.

You're not alone, tons of the old crew are gone, I left quite a while back for the same reason.

Did not know about that one, gonna see if I should add it to our link list at dn.ca

EDIT: You have to be a member to view, seems a bit too restrictive at the moment.
Quite a mistake in my opinion, what is the inspiration to create an account if you cannot see a preview?

for the Dutch, there is also the webhostingtalk.nl (I think I have bought some LL .be names there). .. though it is not a pure domainer forum as such.

Thanks for the replies, I will look at those sites.

I seem to break some rule at the other place, and i sure dont try. I made a small mistake here, and it may, isnt fixed yet...I have names to sell a business to run, and try to honestly make money...Some of its been posted but I've tried to above board and the like...

I have names to sell, sites to build and value info from others...I am likely gone from the two main sites as I just dont need this crap. I still love selling domains and business and still love how good my morals are and long ago mostly quit trying to defend myself. If thread doesnt get yanked or me banned most of the details are here, but didnt share the bad parts I didnt do...I've claimed my mistakes...I made a $6 mistake and have sepnt so much time trying fix a small problem.

I dont want this in my life, I want to wake up with a domain sold, and happy customers, and live my life. I did have a tiny mistake, but I so paid the price...and not planning on doing again, not that i tried to the last time...years off my life over $27...So mostly Im gone from here and the other main domain site. I dont do drama, try not to cause drama...I've been buying domains for a couple of decades now, and still love the hunt...like most of the 600 names I have and feel I list hem at fair price....I'm trying to build sites and get that impossible passive income.
I am not going to wake up and be called a liar or be told a broke what ever rules

Dont mean for this to be my swan song here, though not sure what DNF says about my account but I did very little wrong, so my heart is fine.

Having a forum many years ago i get it...just wish it wasnt all so complicated,,,and people werent so as they are...but as they say, wish in one hand

Hi, don't worry about anything :)

.. hmmm... I have an idea > I could bring you on a live stream and 1 or 2 pro domainers could listed to what you do and give you their advice. how does this sound? .. would also make a good content for us.

--

Anyway, nothing to worry about :D .. just start advertising your names and selling these. .. we have just created a bunch of new categories for all members to advertise their domains free of charge.

Have a great week!

I want to quote one of our rules...

4. Anyone buying or selling in the Marketplace is welcome to do so, however the discussion is between the buyer and seller and DN.ca will not enforce nor mediate a sales agreement. This is a free market economy and as such DN.ca does not interfere with members ability to buy or sell on the forum. However, should we deem a member to be attempting, or committing, fraud then the member will be restricted from using the platform.

While other forums try to be the policeman they end up banning people or warning people by giving them points and negative feedback.

Who do you know that wants to come back to the forum with negative feedback or visible warnings below their user names?

That is why or forum is so friendly, agreements are between buyer and seller, it is not up to us to get involved unless there is fraud. You cannot moderate private car sales, no more than you can moderate any deal between two people. They have to be mature enough to work it out or the deal does not happen.

That is why we have barely any rules, our community is so friendly because people don't have to come back to defend themselves. That makes it an enjoyable experience for everyone.

So my advice as you bring DNForum up to par is don't imitate the other forum, do the exact opposite and treat people like adults. There is no room for two restrictive world domain forums, that is why one has to be open without never ending rules and subsections of rules.

We do not use the warning system, nor do we use feedback, we do that in private on a case by case basis and nobody quits in a huff.

Here is a copy of our simple rules.

Well I am open to anything...within reason. I still like domains, and the business and DNF. I have several sites, but most arent finished...but one is dont domain...After 20 years I love domains, its like a treasure hunt EVERYDAY...often I get coal, and thought it was a diamond...Hard to find many people with an interest in domains, most people dont really even understand the concept.

After 20 years i still get a kick out of domains, and might have knowledge to share. I try to obey all rules but I did recently have a sell go bad here...and partly my fault...but i did try to make it right and remain civil. I had a forum long ago (differnt topic) and my first rule was be civil, doesnt seem a simple rule people can follow. My second rules was something like dont bait people...you know where they try to get people mad...that site was wall street bear...I sold it trying to keep 1000 adults civil was more than I cared to do...it finally made a little money but not enough for the drama

I got into this so long ago and DNF was there. I first wanted a domain for an email address, as for different reasons it changed...and then I wanted a stock market website to talk to like minded people. I found a decent name for both but next day the market name was gone....I discovered there was a big market for names...the stock market name was gone and for sale, at much higher price than I want to say 5.95 1999 prices at enom.

I knew I was heading down a rabbit hole...sold my email name and that site...didnt domain for two years. Im trying to move more into websites, and that false term of passive income

i see people selling an awful name for mid five figures...and wonder...a see people trying to sell something with trademark issues....I look at my list of names and wonder how can i sell all those, or why did I reg that junk.

Years ago i learned that. I mostly knew it but there were tons of ebay names out there so I found for an ebook I could resell...I got a nice but scary mail saying drop the name or we will sue.

ive tried to explain this to people, like I said I sort of knew already but when I got the email....what a great reenforcement...You have to protect your trademark...that is part of the law..and even if you drop it they can still sue

If you are talking windows, better be in the house...these companies will come after you, by law they are supposed to...and they have deep DEEP pockets...even if you win on something like a "window'case you are likely to be out 6 figures, on at best a 5 figure name...no thanks
