So what is the point of having a support address if people can not E-mail it? I have tried from two different servers and my ISP account. In the end I had to resort to gmail.

At least your gmail got through.

Email delivery is one thing registrars have little to no control over. That's one
accepted risk of doing business.

I believe that have full control over it. They could very easily configure their software to stop bouncing E-mail from every IP that they inaccurately consider a spam source.
