The dashes aren't the problem here, it's that the numbers are for the "terra" vs "t-e-r-r-a".

Sorry, too many dashes, and I think Adwords KW tool is showing you the nonspaced term (Terra) at 13.6M searches ... (same number for t e r r a)

I seriously doubt 13.6M searches are done for it with spaces.
