I like it. Make a database / web site of food that is - well - taboo to eat in most countries of the West. There are some exotic dishes out there, including this one :D

Oh dude! that dish of animal penis is way to taboo more my liking. I think I'd strave to death before I'd eat anything like that.

In the United States the health gimmick is "Low Carb Chocolate Cake". In China it's "this is a Bengal Tiger's penis, only 14 left in world, very healthy".

Whatever happened to eat a salad, and then go get some exercise?

I think the most extreme I've eaten is sheep brains, bone marrow and tongue (cooked as a soup, then drained and served with lemon & olive oil dressing). Yummy! There is also a Greek Easter soup called magiritsa that contains the diced innards (intestines, liver etc) of sheep. Double yummy!

No relation whatsoever. We are talking about a thick slice of beef bone, with the marrow inside, cooked. You fork it out from the bone (and lick it clean, it's that good). Of course, ever since the mad cow disease became common such specialties are restricted to local markets only. I forgot about the sheep's head and testicles :D Great soup.

I briefly chewed on a small dragonfly while riding my motorcycle. Tasted like an extremely dusty penny, with a hint of fresh cut grass...

In some parts of the world, eating insects - rich in protein - is common: crickets, cicadas, ants, caterpillars, even spiders.

The name is a good one, perhaps either a data base of really great food recipes such as deserts full of calories, or a data base of foods either not permitted for religious/social reasons and/or medical reasons. Personally I would go with the cakes, and you might even think about promoting it via some well known chefs?

A great name full of potential.

I like this name, lot of potential, could also be developed into a site for rich, weight-gaining luxury foods.

I like the aforementioned suggestions of a site containing recipes of a highly gross/unusual nature... I'd certainly browse through it for the shock factor if I came across it. If they were real, of course. But you don't have to make things up in a world where cooked bird nests, and raw monkey brains are a delicatesse.

In my own country the dish to fit this bill would be cooked sheep heads, or lutefisk (although that's actually quite tasty if you dare to put it in your mouth to begin with ;) ).
