Initial plan is to do it in Thailand, and choosing Chiang Mai instead of Bankook.

Reasoning:
1) also has an international airport,
2) cheaper hotels - potentially we can get better deals on events package (these are assumptions, of course, and need to be tested in real life)
3) seems to be moraly cleaner (also, the assumptions)

It would be great hearing the experience especially from @Wot who happens to live in Chiang Mai, if I am correct Am I?

Lived in Chiang Mai for 23 years, love every minute of it. Best weather end of October in to November although November high season slightly higher prices. Great food, great attractions, golfers paradise. I have a friend in a senior position with the, TAT Tourist Authority of Thailand, they may well be interested- just guessing at this stage.

@nicenic hi, I'm curious, how easy is it for you to get to Bangkok? .. cheap flights?

@DNF Admin is planing to fly to Bangkok next Dec to check what is what .. the more we were checking the flights and hotels - the more Bangkok seemed a better choice than Chiang Mai.. still making up the mind, of course

I insist on sending you a little warmth, no need to thank me lol. I still can’t figure out how it’s hotter here than in the actual tropics!(And thanks to this ridiculous weather, I’ve basically turned bright red like this.)
