Another weak week imo. Used my weekly allotment instead to do some more renewals.

179 names only picked up this week.

The quality is not the same as it used to... and it seems many are just dropping names.

People are thinning portfolios that's for sure and part of the reason is the low parking revenue.

I personally am dropping about 100-200 .ca's a month, keeping only generics and things I believe I could build out well.

That would be funny ;) But I wonder if the Canadian authorities have ever bought one single .ca domain :)

Well GC.ca comes to mind. Don't know if they "paid" for it or not. Or even if they "pay" for it on an ongoing basis.

It would be a hoot if it dropped.

Any opinions on what HST.ca might be worth????

All the hype around HST is over. If this dropped in the spring of last year, it would have been a great resource for people to learn about the effect it has on them.

Nevertheless, people are still curious about the details, and I think it could warrant a few thousand viewers a month with the right content.

My estimate as to what it will go for in auction is $1,750.

Ya but there are still groups who are trying to fight it and have the HST reversed like www.fighthst.ca so it isn't a dead issue. Personally I would touch HST.ca with anyones pole :-)

It's actually 2500+HST = $2825
