Well it's a popular name and it gets traffic, that's for sure. However, the only reason it's a good name is because it's a huge Spanish Television Network that is now owned by NBC. Basically.. it would be the equivalent of owning NBC.com, CNN.com, etc... here in the U.S.

Looks like you might have a bit of trouble on this one. Whether their trademark holds up in spain is the question. I am not a lawyer so don't take my position for any legal advice. I would probably give the domain to the station as a gesture of goodwill. Selling this domain will look like profiting from the trademark of a very POWERFUL company. Because you never know.

Getting an offer so soon for so little may just be an attempt of the company
trying to prove just that.

Founded by Angel Ramos in the early 1950's in San Juan, Puerto Rico, Telemundo is an international media network with a conglomerate of Spanish-language television channels as its base. Much of its shows are imported from Mexico and other Latin American countries such as Brazil and Colombia. Mexican TV broadcaster TV Azteca has been the main provider of Mexican telenovelas produced by Producciones Argos. Now separated from TV Azteca (because they launched a Spanish language network), Argos has produced telenovelas directly for Telemundo.

In 2001, Telemundo was purchased by NBC and is now a part of NBC Universal. Their main competitor is Univision.

I live in Spain and never heard about them. It seems to be very big in the US and Latin America but that doesn't match with Spain ccTLD (at least not at the moment). Anyway it seems to get quite some traffic (it would be interesting to know where the traffic comes from) so I wouldn't sell it for less than $XX,XXX.
