Hello fellas, would all of you chip in your opinion. Don't register the name though.

I want to create a food website. I want to call it "delicious", but as you know, it's not available.

I was thinking "the dishes" but it's taken. So, how about dedishes.com? Doesn't it sound similar to "delicious"?

I kind of like the name because of the way it sounds, though it's not a word.

Do you think its too confusing and too hard to remember or spell? can it be branded? should i go for it or no?

not a good choice. it doesn't sound good and its confusing. If it doesn't past the radio test its usually not a good idea if you have to spell it out to people every single time.

I agree with BostonDomainer. It doesn't quite roll of the tongue and difficult to remember. I'd get out the thesaurus and find words that are similar.

What do you think of musteatdish(.) com? Does it sound/look weird?

ngconcept, thanks for the input. i'm glad i didn reg the name.

What would be a good name that wouldn't cost me an arm and leg, and still sound good?
Any suggestion?

Here's a freebie... WOWDishes.com is unregistered. I'd personally use that over the ones you have mentioned.

what kind of food are you selling?

cold sandwiches, deli cuts, frozen steaks, veggies, fruits, hot dishes, specialty cuisine, snacks....what?

that will help decide a domain name

Anything you create and concoct and put-together needs to be branded.

doc, you made the point. i want something catchy. then, i want the word dish in it.

big, its going to be a review or directory of dish that customers like for different dishes at restaurants. So, it can be any type of food.

boston, wowdishes sounds not too bad, but i'm looking for something that flows smoother. If any other suggestions, let me know. Any good name, I'm willing to pay up to $100 for it, if it's really good. Can't do any higher, since I don't know how the site's going to turn out. If it doesn't turn out good, then I take it as a hobby.

Someones suggested:

wonderfuldish
wonderdish
eatabledish
dishyummy
dishyou
dishme

What do you think of those? If you were to pick, which one?

Don't underestimate the time and cost it will take to brand a name or a business. It is huge. That is why stick with something simple yet effective that describes what and who you are.

You need deep pockets and a strong team to brand a made up word.

doc, your statement gives me a headache lol. Not, you that causes it, but the truth. It's good that you point that out, so it will save me time and money. So, what's a good name, that you think would fit a good food directory for each restaurant. I was thinking some where along the line like yummydish, yumyumdish, but all are taken.
