i think thats a fair price for an end user to pay, chances of that happening are really low, because if you buy a couple decent 3 letter for 8-10K each , you have a lot of dead capital and every once in a blue moon you make the money back, its a gamble, glad it paid off for the guy

...not many people would "expect" $75k for tgn.com, glad they got it though :)

Hmmm, SEDO doesn't think it worth their time. I suppose I will just hang on to it since it performs a useful function for client retention for another ISP and my email.

No one thinks your revival of a 2 year old thread with an appraisal is worth their time.

No one thinks your revival of a 2 year old thread with an appraisal is worth their time.

Thanks!

I participate in other forums (not dns associated) where bringing up an old thread would not likely attract attention either if bringing it up again would be like "beating a dead horse".

In this case however, I thought it would bring up relevant information without having to set in a link. My sin is not lurking and learning the nature of this forum.

I thought that a three letter domain would attract more interest, especially in light that it seemed to be a significant sale for the .com. I had talked to the original owner of tgn.com through the years but no longer have his contact info.

These 2 go back to 1995.

Anyway, do you think I should start a new thread? I emailed Ancestry.com... we'll see what they have to say. If they don't want it I will email the other likely interested parties. If that does not generate interest, I still use it for myself and for retention of ISP customers.

Thanks for your reply!
