The Sale of Webmastered.NET, Webmaster Resource Network
Hello everyone, and may I open up this letter with the sole reason of why I have to sell my humble network. My reason, like many, is of financial desperation to where I am forced to sell this network, being my favorite, as soon as possible to pay off current debt and bills that I now face.
You may be asking yourself, what exactly is for sale here? You may be visiting Webmastered.net right now and seeing a pretty blank web page but you should find the domain name as valuable as I find it. First off let me talk about the domain Webmastered.net, in which was going to be the basis site of the network. Being a webmaster is an artist â to me, webmastery is an art â and thus that is where webmastered came from.
The network includes two great forums including Webmasters-Talk.com, powered by vBulletin 3.5.5 with its own custom forum skin (everything including the license is included) and Webmaster-Corner.com, powered by MyBB 1.1.7 with custom plugins such as the revenue sharing hack, which is also included. (The forum skin is questionable on Webmaster Corner, I am not sure whether it is unique or not.) Let me first tell you that Webmaster-Corner.com is a rapidly growing webmaster forum with a genuine Google PageRank of 6. Webmasters-Talk.com is also rapidly growing â mostly the members come from direct type-ins and features a genuine Google PageRank of 3.
Alright, so letâs talk about each forum individually. You probably think its silly of me to run two webmaster forums, but its actually quite entertaining and they both function differently â afterall, they are powered by two different forum softwares.
Webmasters-Talk.com is a webmaster forum that I constructed for webmasters to discuss not only their websites but online business, legalities of online business, SEO, and internet marketing. Webmaster-Corner.com has some of that approach in it but really emphasizes the website: coding, the design, etc.
Before I talk about revenue let me talk about traffic. The network domain Webmastered.net only receives a few type-ins daily so its nothing to talk about, so consider it very low until you develop it into something special. Webmaster-Corner.com is receiving 400-500 uniques per day; a majority of that traffic looks like its coming from Google and affiliates. Webmasters-Talk.com receives about 70 uniques daily; majority of it looks like its coming in from direct requests and type-ins.
Okay, now you really want to know about revenue. Let me first say though that thereâs definite available income here just from Webmaster-Corner.com being a PR6 and Webmasters-Talk.com being a PR3. You can sell advertising and text links because of each siteâs PageRank. Webmasters-Talk.com has made about a dollar with AdSense this month so farâ¦thatâs actually not bad because the board was down for a few days while I had the skin fixed and the ad revenue sharing hack installed into vBulletin. Last month it made $6 so monthly at the moment you can average to $6. I average $15 per month with Webmaster-Corner with AdSense and I share revenue. Webmaster-Corner.com also brings in an extra $75 per month from paid text links (thereâs 3 paid advertisers paying $25 per link). Afterall, itâs a PR6 site.
