I just registered these two. The Catskills in New York (Sullivan, Ulster, Delaware, Greene) is becoming more popular as a second Yuppie home region since its less than 2 hours from Manhattan. My brother just bought a house there and RE has increased in value recently.

plus a bunch of casinos around monticello are scheduled to be built, i have monticelloracino.com first one up and running. You are right housing market is nuts right now, unless you work in the city you wouldnt be able to but a house here now, i certainly couldnt afford to buy the house i live in now in montgomery today

Thanks for the input fatter. My brother just bought a house in Hankins in Sullivan County near Callicoon. Yup, prices just seem to keep going up, but he got a pretty decent deal. I think they are looking to bring gaming to more areas around there and there are a bunch of performing arts centers opening up too. Every store I went into they had those free Real Estate booklets so I figured people might also seek out free opportunities to list on the web.

NY RE is outlandish; more and more New Yorkers are moving to Florida instead.

I also took CatskillsHomes.com. It's a little shorter and might be easier to remember.
