I believe the site has lots of potential for the right owner! I find myself way too caught up with other things (university, etc) now to put any effort (promotion, development, ad-optimization) into the site, even though I put
plenty of development work into it when I bought it in March last year (see

A few months back I started creating a "user profile" section which I believe has some really good potential to expand into a "social-networking-humor-type site - the first of its kind! well, kinda

Since I wanted to spend as little time as possible updating content on the site itself, I created a system (in php and mysql) for making updating content (clips, flash, games, pics) extremely easy! This whole "semi-automatic" updating system, along with a large library of humor clips, games & flash & pics are all included with the site. as well as the database containing all user info and needless to say, all files associated wiht the site.

TheCrazyWebsite gets around 350 uniques / day:

I believe there's alot of scope for ad-optimizing the site for better ad-earnings (with azoogle ads, etc). Since November 06, it's averaged around $1.72/day using purely Google Adsense ads:

The previous owner had the site for a few years (he started it and did alot of promotion since around 2001 I think).
I've had the site for around a year now I think.

The script is fully customized (I spent alot of hours doing it! it's mod_rewrite enabled too which makes for nice .html pages for the funny items). Items have comment-features, too and I had been planning on creating this comment-enabled feature for people's profiles too depending on how the profiles caught on (will be easy to implement)

Regarding the "semi-automatic" updating system: I created a page which automatically searches the directory for the latest funny item (file, like .mpeg for example), then you watch the vid (which is great fun too!) and simply select a frame (with a neat little javascript script enabling ffmpeg to create a thumbnail from the vid) and name the item and voila a thumbnail is created, the database is updated, ready for uploading the file to the server (which is all that's left to do by you). Prob takes around 20 minutes per week to update, if that. (depends of course how fresh you want to keep the content, daily, weekly, etc)

The clips and media are mainly still what I received from the previous owner (there were gigabytes of the stuff!!) but quite alot of clips and flash items get submitted by visitors too. (I also created a little "stealer" script which can grab items from other sites, such as flash games, or anything else )

The site comes with all of the above items and the new owner will have full ownership over the script which IMHO absolutely rocks (but hey, perhaps thats just cause I spent a sh*tload of time on it! )
