I now have 9 U.S. states (or 18% of the total) in this category. What do you think of this type of domain name?
TheAlabamian.com (also included, thealabaman.com, alternative spelling)
TheArizonan.com
TheDelawarean.com
TheLouisianan.com (also included, thelouisianian.com, alternative spelling)
TheMainer.com
TheNorthCarolinian.com
TheNorthDakotan.com
TheOhioan.com
TheWestVirginian.com
Note that many newspapers and magazines have names exactly like these (e.g., The New Yorker, The Mississippian, The Alabamian). Even my little home town of Roanoke, Virginia... the local magazine is called "The Roanoker". The technical term for this is "geographic adjectival" combined with the definite article.
TheCalifornian.com is another great example - that's the domain name of a major newspaper called The Salinas Californian. Tell me your thoughts.
