NFL and Super Bowl are both trademarked terms that the NFL protects very vigorously. Any site that goes online with those as part of the name are almost certain to get a C&D letter and to be sued if they don't turn the names over.

I am afraid these are indeed candidates for Cease and DEsist Letter :( I hate to also be the bearer of bad news.

Unfortunately, I dont see much benefit from putting up something and reap traffic benefits until the ax falls (some people take this type of risk), since there shouldnt be any typeins as far as I can tell.

Perhaps you could aim for a quick sale on Ebay if your conscience allows it. If it makes you feel better, we have all made the type of mistake at some point or another (okay Duke maybe hasnt!..) :)

Actually I have one that is borderline - BlueDevil.net. My daughter is interested in going to Duke University (she is a high school sophomore, A+ student). I thought it would be a great vanity e-mail address for her. Duke's sports teams are the Blue Devils and some colleges trademark their team names just like the pros. If I put a site about the Duke Blue Devils up on that domain, they could challenge it. If I use it just for email or put up a site with unrelated content it would probably not be a problem. That is the one and only case that I have knowingly even gone near a name that could have TM problems.
