With so many choices including new TLDs and Country Codes, I have a disipline...
Generally speaking:
DOT-COM only.
NO NUMBERS unless 3 characters or all numbers.
NO HYPHENS.
NO MORE THAN 12 CHARACTERS, if possible.
There are always exceptions like;
Hyphenated domain names are good for search engines.
Dot-CN would be worth trying.
Also,
Read the news.
Don't be greedy.
Be patient.
Increase your credit card limit.

If not: It is not a registrar, its just parked!
Hopefully you ment GoDaddy.com which IMHO is a great registrar.
