Any comments on Tissues.us and Tissuepaper.us?

These are definitely Not Trademarked.

I would list a lot of the research that I've done for these names, but I think that these names speak for themselves.

I just registered these today - so there are some real gems left out there in .us if you're still hunting. I'm betting that there will not be any more gems left once the kids.us campaign starts in the summer.

As much as I've heard the .us's are starting to sell I still don't think these are worth anymore then the reg fee.

Ever ran out of TP mid-way-through?
TP online = $-5
TP at the local store = $priceless!

Cheers!

I thought I was valuating a domain name. Not a Web site.

I've looked at the Web site. (i'll send you the bill:) )

I see your Marketing point. And I don't disagree that these names may be worth something someday.

Anybody that has any good .us's is hanging on to them.
At least the smart ones?

I'm not just grasping-at-straws. I've ran the search numbers for these names and they are not overly impressive.

For now. reg fee!
Later...who knows?

Good Luck!

Perhaps you guys are right with your appraisals, only time will tell. I think that these are pretty decent names though.

They're short, spelled correctly, and represent product names. in addition to the commercial aspect, the word "tissues" could also be used for a medical type website dealing with human or animal tissues, tissue donation, organ donation, etc.

FYI: Here are the search numbers and research results that I pulled up for tissues.us and tissuepaper.us.

Tissues.us:
- 9119 searches for tissue in January 2003 on suggestiontool.com (tissues pulls up the same results as tissue)
- Google results - 1,510,000
- Yahoo results 1,350,000
- The word Tissues in not trademarked
- all extensions are taken
- Information on other extensions is as follows:

Tissues.com forwards to the searchport search engine

Tissues.net forwards to a search engine site

Tissues.org – forwards to an undeveloped search engine site

Tissues.biz – is under construction

Tissues.info is not functional

Tissues.co.uk is a developed website for selling tissue paper (International Tissues Ltd)

Tissue Paper

7951 searches tissue paper on suggestiontool.com in January 2003
Google results - 707,000
Yahoo results - 629,000
Tissue Paper is not Trademarked
Taken in all other extensions taken

Information on all other extensions is as follows:

Tissuepaper.com is developed website for Premiere Packing Inc.

Tissuepaper.net is for sale

Tissuepaper.org forwards to http://www.europeantissue.com/ (europ. Tissue symposium)

Tissuepaper.biz is for sale

Tissuepaper.info – is an undeveloped site

Tissuepaper.co.uk is an undeveloped site for CJ. Packing

I agree; Just regged myself:

AdolescentMedicine.us
DivingMedicine.us
HyperbaricMedicine.us
EnvironmentalMedicine.us
IndustrialMedicine.us
MedicalPhysics.us

They're all obliquely related to my area of work so I know they're worth at least the reg fee!!

Your starting to sound more like a car salesman rather then a lawyer.

LOL!

All comments are appreciated - even if negative.

Go ahead - criticize all you want. I'm taking it all in stride.

But I still think my strategies for registering domains makes more sense than just registering something on a whim without doing adequate research. I'd like to hear other sellers' strategies for picking domains.

Of those who criticize my strategy and research techniques, I'd like to find out how many domains they've already sold and for what price.

A seller may have even sold more domains than I have, but if they sell the domains at wholesale prices - then I've still made more money off of domains than that person. (e.g. A seller could have sold 20 domains - but if the selling price was only $50.00/domain - then that person only made $1,000)

I've sold two domains for a total of $3,000 and could've gotten way more than that - but I didn't feel like holding out on the buyer at the time. I will definitely sell my domains for maximum price in the future.

My domains are listed at http://www.domainterritory.com

Time will tell whether these particular domains (tissues.us and tissuepaper.us) actually become valuable.

Peace out,

They are good domains in regards to investment value. Generic .us domains should be held onto for a couple of years until their true value can be assessed. I think you did very well.
