I see that there aren't any (or hardly any) conversations on .TM domains. What's your opinion? Are the worthless? There are some real nice .TM names available! (Yes, I know there is a 10 year minimum registration, so they are pretty expensive...)

min. 10 years! crazy!
IMO .TM can stand for "trademark"
if you have extra money, buy one :)

The business approach to attract domain investor is seem not acceptable ... 10 years to register a name .:embarrass

Maybe they have no admin staff to handle short applications :D Seems like a grab the money and get the hell out kind of business.

This scam may have worked backed in 1998-1999. It's all about rationalisation today.

TM= Turkmensitan, not Trademark. Who even knows where that is? How stable is that country? They've probably leased the use of their ccTLD for maybe 10 years? what happens when the lease runs out? What happens if politics changes in the country and they void the public use lease? On global TLD's ICANN can step in and manage use. on ccTLD's they have little control and the country can pretty much do as they please.

Is paying for some obscure ccTLD financing politics somewhere you may not agree with?

By the way:
WS = Western Samoa, not Website
TV = Tuvalu, not Television
MD = Muldova, not Medial Doctor

...Etc.

You can call a horse a cow, but it doesn't necessarilly make it one.

If you ready to part with .TM in 10 years or maybe less and to show everyone you have TradeMark on a name, this TLD suite you. :)

Also still many good names available for registration.

I think TM domains are worthless, they open the TM registry for what? our money. I
