I was under the impression that .it names were pretty difficult to transfer or own without Italian citizenship.

Yes a very good and cheap buy for the new owner. I would have held on to it to find an end-user or developed it myself if I had owned it.

The 'recycling business' is reckoned to be one of the fastest growing areas of the economy here in the UK and throughout the EU, that is both industrial and domestic recycling. If marketed right this domain would be a golden goose.

I watched part of the auction and the reserve had already been met when I started watching, the price was just over $3,000 then.
