Domains are parked for a 1,001 reasons. Wasted is debatable, underused could be agreeable. Parking is surely not taking full advantage of a domains potential to the community. To the owner parking may indeed be the best, most cost effective money producing solution. Why tinker with good results and heavy paycheck? All and all a cool article, does make one think.

I am not sure you should use the language "wasted" until you have a real idea of just how much money these domain names are bringing in.

Agree, this is what most of them don't get...And even if they were earning pennies a day on a great domain, so what? they can do whatever they want with it. It appears to me the ones critiquing these domains are simply envious of the kind of domains they will never have.

In my opinion, parking a domain name is not wasting it, you're still making money from it. Wasting a domain name is doing nothing with it, such as Magic.com. The guy probably forgot he owns it.

Good point indeed.

this can be true...

Stock.com and Purple.com , both not even parked (purple.com PR6)
Welp, looks like First Place Internet bought stock.com. I wonder how much they paid. Kinda pisses me off as that is one domain i had my eye on for a long time but had been saving to make an offer. Anyone hear anything?

I dont think any of us are in any position to be judging what owners do with their property, not only is it intrusive, its pathetic.
