Yakov,what do you mean ?

This kind of info has been publicised on DNF since ages - and note that *of course* i have posted the drops AFTER they had been catched, not BEFORE. :)

Beatz, it's not professional, please stop it.
You may gather the stats for yourself, but not publicise it.
The same applies to all others, please "play nice" ©DNForum.com.

Yakov

This information is public. What is the problem? I just do not understand where you are coming from. Please explain.

Yakov - sorry but have to disagree.

Dunno whats not "play nice" about it - in contrary to for instance posting drops *before* they drop which indeed would not be nice and helpful.

Again, posting who got the good drops is something very common here and is to a degree even helpful for learning about which dropservice gets which and how many domains, about their techniques etc.

Beatz, please, there is no need to offer a free information service, whoever needs to know, will go and check whois.

You publicise the information that others (including new owners of the drops) may be trying to keep private
This isn't nice.

Now try to disagree with it. :)

Me too. No reason whatsover not to provide this info. It is very valuable to all members to see which services are doing the best job of getting good names.

Well, there is no reason not to provide a list of top domains that are about to drop. Its valuable to all members to see what domains and when will drop...
This isn't the case.

Please don't officialize the information that other may want to keep private. Doing this isn't nice.

Uh Yakov this board is to an extent about exactly that - drops.

See i try to make a difference for instance as to *when* to post *what* - but to expect that you catch a great name and its nevertheless gonna be not noticed on a board with 1500+ people going for drops is a bit unrealistic, isnt it ?

Anyway, this has been my first time to post the top drops, someone else (too lazy to look up who it actually is) is doing it regulary in here and is even a lot better than me at doing it.
And actually i would not want to miss this someones postings, as he even adds some kind of short analysis to it, which has always been very interesting for me.
Not for curiousity reasons, but if you analyze the whole list down you can learn an awful lot.
Like for instance, the recent lists in the past weeks have shown snapnames still can beat NW even with high bids in NW which again is a factor to decide if it might make sense to buy snaps in 6 months advance.

Its just a small example but to show you i for instance indeed base some of my decisions on these kind of analyses/lists.

Look at it this way:

No chance to win the Oscar and NOT to be in the news next day. :)

Beatz, absolutely realistic, whoever want's to see, will look it up, whoever doesn't won't. Only small percentage of people, gather stats for several reasons, one of what is to have a competitive adventage, which you ultimately cancel out or dramaticaly reduce by officializing the stats.

I think that as long as beatz - or whoever else - does not use precompiled results of other sources e.g. grabbing Exody lists would be not a good idea. But if beatz takes various sources and puts together this list then I don't see how this can be illegal or immoral in any aspect.

Again - just to make sure - this list as well as the other lists posted by the other guy show names that *have been caught* already; not ones that are *about* to drop.

Whats the big deal here?
