Yup i used to have a proxy site any proxy site with some good traffic screws up servers. But dedicated server does it fine.

Part of the problem with topsite's is a virtual DoS attacks you have to deal with from the uncrupulous site owners faking hits to get up in the top ranks. Running a proxy itself a whole 'nother ordeal people get into without knowing all the issues.
