TorrentForums.com is a community dedicated to the file sharing technology Bit-Torrent. The main aim is to help people, provide reviews of websites and general discussion of Torrents. I originally planned to start the forum way back last year, I got a logo designed and a skin however I left the forum idle without implementing the new changes and to my surprise it has nearly 400 âorganicâ members without any form of moderation until recently. I finally had time to get the skin recoded and I released the site a couple of days ago.
I have spent a lot on this project and the potential (as shown by nearly 400 members before actually officially opening) is huge. The site comes with a unique logo which looks incredibly good and cost me $250, the theme cost $400, the skinning was $350, vbulletin leased license was $80 (ends sept), VbSEO license was $150 and the domain is easily worth low-mid $xxxx (torrentforum.com want at least $2.5k for their undeveloped domain) â combine those costs together with the potential and I hope you can see the true value and the reason for my starting price.
The only reason why I am selling is because I need cash for current web projects. This sounds like the default excuse for a sale but this reason is genuine and I can backit up â there is nothing wrong with the website at all.
Revenue is practically $0 due to low traffic (e.g. no proper advertising and newly opened) and traffic for the past 5 days has gone from 25 to 75 unique visitors. Please see analytics screenshot.
The forum is ready for a proper start and takeover and once it gets going will be a great success. Please ask any questions if needed.
