If I have a domain name for a year, then some big corporate company comes along and trademarks the words in the domain, do they have a right to my domain?

Thanks!

Generally No but there are a few things to take into account.

Did you know about their TM intentions a year ago? (i.e. merger of two companies to make AOLTimeWarner)
have they been doing business with that TM for more than a year before they got the TM?

If not, you should be safe as long as you don't now go and try to profit off their mark (be careful with parking) Cheers
