Trademark Question

Last year, someone offered to buy one of my domain names. When I rejected his offer, he said he was working on a trademark for that name, so I was better off selling it to him. I still declined, but I've had that in the back of my mind.

Can I lose the domain name if he goes through with it, even if I had it first?

Any info will be greatly appreciated!

The complainant was found to have engaged in reverse domain name hijacking for bringing the UDRP complaint when the registrant had prior rights to the name.
