What is a secure, reliable mechanism for payment/transfer/acquisition of a $10,000-$20,000 domain. Escrow.com, moniker escrow? Places and methods to avoid?

PS- Asking because I am now in the market to acquire a premium/very solid LLL.com.

Escrow.com is the safest way to go.

Thanks for the info -- I received a few PMs too on the subject. Seems like the consensus is to use escrow.com

I use Escrow for all $xx,xxx transactions, unless I really know the seller/buyer. Escrow.com is definitely the way you want to go. :) Good luck.

No, I've heard Moniker is best, but there are other safety measures as well. try reading through the legal section, and finding some horror stories.
1. Get clear evidence who your buyer is. Name, address, e-mail, etc., and proof of that.
2. Try signing a legal binding contract with a lawyer, just like you would do when purchasing or selling a house.
3. Finally use an escrow like Moniker, or Escrow.
