Hi guys,
If the name registered with NetSol expired May 13 and I started the transfer out to Godaddy May 19 is it ok? It's not against any rules?
I think yes.
Well but I have a problem with it. I asked 3 times (via admin panel) to send me the auth. code and waiting for it during 2 days. I wrote to support and they replied me with much info but didn't tell what should I do to receive the code. The guy who replied on my ticket couldn't give me the reply on a such serious problem - the auth. code and now I need to wait for an reply of the transfer specialist.
Never had such stupid problems with NetSol and all the times received that code in 1-2 hrs max.

Any NetSol guys here willing to help to resolve this very very complicated problem with giving an auth. code?

Thanks, Nick

In your control panel, you should have the option to unlock the domain + a checkbox to tick to receive the auth code to your E-mail address.
Perhaps you are not seeing this if the domain has expired, I don't know.

Thank you for the reply. Yes I know, I did it 3 times. The name is unlocked but the code wasn't sent to me.

The mail was spamtrapped I suppose.

I don't want to pay money for a call (i'm not in US) asking them to give something they must give me.
As for the lowering renewal fee, when I was unlocking the domain got a message that I could renew the name for something around 8 EUR. But Godaddy is still cheaper, plus i already paid for a transfer to Godaddy :)

Have a little patience then. Last week, I received the auth codes via email three days after I got them verbally. While a little slow, they'll get them to you.

Yeah probably I need to wait, actually it's the third day today. And the support didn't reply on my next ticket.

Don't know like you guys, but I think that waiting for 3 days for an auth. code is sick! It's even more easy to obtain the auth. code from Register.com.

I don't remember about NetSol but like they said it may be that you tried to unlock the domain and obtain the auth code AFTER it had already expired (it expired May 13 and you asked for a transfer to Go Daddy May 19, right ?) The transfer out of NetSol IS possible, but only if BOTH the domain was unlocked AND the auth code was requested BEFORE the domain expired. The way it looks you may have to stay w/NetSol one more year and EU 8 is a lot, but it's lower than the $39.99 renewals they're so infamous for, and NetSol is a terrible registrar considering their outrageous prices

Try to explain to the staff you're new and if they'll give you a break and supply you w/the auth code (and unlock the name for you) as a one-time courtesy, and I'm not sure they could do that even if they wanted to. If you have other domains there and have spent some good money they might help you. If one domain (this one) is all you got with them then they probably won't go out of their way to assist you, sorry

Good luck
